PDX Jazz has crafted an exciting, and unique festival for the 18th consecutive annual edition during Black History Month, featuring 16 Livestreams + 3 Films in 10 Days from 6 Cities. The Biamp PDX Jazz Festival is livestreaming from Portland, Havana, London, Johannesburg and Brooklyn this year, in a celebration of jazz music and culture. West coast musicians ‘the best of the west’; social justice; international shows, exclusive interviews, Portland & World premieres, education workshops; and women in jazz are themes woven into the fabric of this year’s event.
The festival will open with a performance by Thomas Lauderdale and China Forbes of the jazz pop band, Pink Martini. Among performances by a number of bands and musicians throughout the week, the GRAMMY award-winning Prince protégé, Judith Hill will perform from the stage at the Jack London Revue.
