Reis Demuth Wiltgen release their fourth album on 26 February.

Pianist Michel Reis, bassist Marc Demuth and drummer Paul Wiltgen formed jazz trio Reis Demuth Wiltgen 1998 while still in high school. Over 20 years later, they are about to release a new album, Sly. The album features 13 new compositions, seven written by Michel Reis, five penned by Paul Wiltgen and one by Marc Demuth.

The album, which features a drawing by Alyssa Kam-Cheong  fox on the cover as a tip to Michel Rodange’s iconic Luxembourgish literary work “Renert”, is described as an homage of sorts to the trio’s native country. “An acknowledgement of their upbringing, an appreciation of the where and the what from which they came. Their home base merely provides a foundation upon which they can venture out to build new experiences and thus create an honest and sincere, yet innovative sound.”

Three singles have already been used to tease the album, the latest of which is ‘No Storm Lasts Forever’.

Sly is released on the Cam Jazz label on Friday 26 February.
