Streaming jazz series

Los Gatos Music and Arts continues Jazz Off the Plazz, its free virtual concert series, on Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m., through Sept. 9. The series, streaming at, was developed in lieu of the regular summer Jazz on the Plazz series, which was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Next month’s lineup starts Aug. 5 with the John Storie and Alex Frank Duo presenting “Jazz Stories From LA,” live-streamed from Los Angeles.

Up next are Sara Niemetz and Snuffy Walden on Aug. 12, playing jazz standards and originals. On Aug. 26, vocalist and lyricist Tiffany Austin performs a mix of R&B, hip-hop and the blues.

Jazz pianist and vocalist John Proulx plays the penultimate show in the series Sept. 2, and former Santana vocalist Tony Lindsay closes it out Sept. 9.
